We have also read this is no longer supported so we started investigating AcroPDF.DLL. Problem is no matter what we register, we receive an error and this was the same error we receive when we register the PDF.OCX. We recently updated our machines to Windows XP Sp3, but that appears to be the only thing that was done. I have downloaded the Acrobat SDK and cannot figure out what we'd do to have Powerbuilder be able to choose the com object."DLL RegisterServer in acroPDF.DLL failed. Return code was 0x80004005"Any help would be appreciated plz. Thanks. I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 7474Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 2 replies 1. Re: PDF.OCX or AcroPDF.DLL lrosenth Nov 1, 2010 3:14 PM (in response to skyeyesblue) PDF.OCX was a VERY OLD (pre-Acrobat 8) UNSUPPORTED component. As of Acrobat 8, we now offer the AcroPDF.dll which is a SUPPORTED part of the SDK.There is no need to register anything yourself - it gets registered when Adobe Reader is installed on the computer. If you can't find it there, or if you don't know where Acrobat is installed, click "Start," then "Search," then "All Files and Folders," and search for "PDF.OCX." Unregister the file in case it is already in the registry but corrupted or error registering broken. Click "Start," then "Run."
