About Post navigation ← Previous Next → Key segment not found and unable to register table GL_Acct_Mstr Posted on April 14, 2011 by David Hobbs This error was http://evarsys.com/dynamicsgp/?p=253 encountered after printing a batch of AP checks and during the post operation. The checks printed fine. However the posting report was lost. GL seems to have been updated correctly. I've written http://www.windows-server-answers.com/microsoft/Dynamics-Developer/30505428/gp-10-creating-tables-using-sql-maintenance.aspx extensively about the problems with reports dictionaries. It is one of the weak links in GP. Anyone who tells you to have one shared reports dictionary is not doing you any favors. Therefore, error registering have multiple copies and backups of your reports dictionaries. First, delete or rename the reports dictionary. Launch GP, then import your package file to recreate the reports dictionary. See post http://evarsys.com/dynamicsgp/?p=253 Second, rebuild the GL account index file. Below are the complete steps taken from the MS Techknowledge article 855963. building them in the SQL Server using the SQL Maintenance window. In my first attempts with GP10, these tables do not list on this window when i select the company database. Also any code that refers to these custom table raise a runtime error "Error registering table [Not Found]". My custom tables and forms also do not show up in the Resource Description window. I've started over many times using different dictionaries but i'm getting the same result. Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong here? Thank You, Mike dmusgra replied on 09-Aug-07 07:46 PM Hi Michael Sounds like you need to update Series Resources using Dexterity Utilities. MichaelRom replied on 10-Aug-07 09:08 AM Hi Dave, I had been using the modifier and it created a FORMS.DIC file, when I deleted this file everything seemed to work like normal. I'm guessing the FORMS.DIC dictionary was taking some precedence over the Dyanmics.dic dictionary? Thanks, Mike dmusgra replied on 10-Aug-07 11:12 AM What dictionary are your custom tables in? Forms.dic should only affect Dynamics.dic and Dynamics.dic should never be deployed with customisations. Did you create a chunk file and install your own dictionary? Am i not doing this correctly? dmusgra replied on 10-Aug-07 11:26 AM Michael It's OK to have the tables in the development dictionary. You should be running this is Dexterity Debug >> Test mode.
