But only when I create chunk file with Dexterity for Dynamics GP 2015. Worked ok in prior versions. Any idea's what i can do? Sample of the code: local boolean lresult;local boolean lresult2; lresult2 = Table_SetCreateMode(false); { do not automatically create table when accessed } lresult = Table_DisableErrorChecks(true); { do not error if table not found } get first table AIM_Vendor; if err() = 9 then {table does not exist } close table AIM_Vendor; lresult = Table_FlushCache(); if 'SQL Server' of globals > 0 then {If system administrator logged in then create tables } if ('User ID' of globals = "sa") or ('User ID' of globals = "DYNSA") then call AIM_Register_Triggers; call AIM_New_Company; els
Errors ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ Allan Cahill [MSFT]20 April 201010 0 0 0 Hi, my name is Allan Cahill (pronounced "Carl") and I work with David Musgrave in the Asia Pacific support team and I wanted to share the experiences I had working on a recent incident. The Problem Over a number of months, the Customer was receiving random errors when doing various tasks in Microsoft Dynamics GP (GP). This was predominately when posting Receiving’s Transaction Batches using Project Accounting data yet reportedly was occurring randomly throughout other GP specific tasks. Examples of errors https://community.dynamics.com/gp/f/32/t/155615 reported by Customer: An open operation on table ‘PA_POP_POLine_Temp' has an incorrect record length An open operation on table ‘PA_POP_poplandedcost_Temp' failed because the path does not exist An open operation on table ‘PA_POP_poplandedcost_Temp' has caused an unknown error (407) Error Registering table ‘PA_Billing_DTL_Work' FP: Couldn't Close Table Receivables Batch Posting: An open operation on table ‘RM_Keys_MSTR_TRX' has an incorrect record length This had been https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/developingfordynamicsgp/2010/04/20/unexplained-temp-table-errors/ occurring for a year before being reported to Microsoft Support. We initially undertook all the general steps in relation to rebuilding forms & reports dictionaries etc. yet the problem would continue to randomly occur weekly for all users on each of the user’s workstations. We conducted a screen sharing session and focused on the TNT*.idx, TNT*.dat and TNT*.tmp files found in the user’s profile temp directory (as defined by the %temp% environmental variable) and found that some of the TNT files were dating to more than a year old on the workstation. The TNT files are temporary files that are created as local ctree tables in the user’s temp folder rather than SQL tables in tempdb. This is defined by the developer when the table definition is created in Dexterity. Normally, these files should be deleted when the temporary file is no longer required such as when the posting process is finished. In our troubleshooting, we would delete as many of the TNT*.idx, TNT*.dat and TNT*.tmp files that were not in use (on the specific workstation being worked on) and during our testing we were unable to replicate the above e
GL_Account_MSTR Posted on February 18, 2015 by Doug Pitcher I had this happen to me again and ran across an old blog post I did years ago. A lot of people think http://www.dynamicscloud.com/error-registering-table-gl_account_mstr/ I just blog so I can live the rich and famous lifestyle but in all honesty it’s because I have a bad memory and I know I’m going to come across issues like this again. Here’s the old post I wrote: ******************************** I don’t usually like posting on break/fix type issues. It’s pretty hard making GL_Account_MSTR posts entertaining and most of the usual Dynamics error registering headaches are documented on the knowledge base or someone else’s blog. But for some reason I couldn’t find this error anywhere. So instead of giving you the answer right off I need to at least tell a story to make this a little more interesting. Most of the time I work directly with our clients to fix a wide range of issues. Over the error registering table weekend our CEO came in to work but was met with a whole litany of errors when running reports in Dynamics. Dealing with a client is one thing but I always feel added pressure to resolve issues quickly when dealing with the big boss lady. Hoping to impress I jump into action thinking maybe, just maybe, if I do this right I can secure a pay raise or something. Much to my chagrin not a single soul has posted about this error. I did find posts of similar errors and one was from my most trusted and famous Steve Chapman. After a bit of hymning and hawing I dusted off the cobwebs from way before the weekend and remember our most excellent payroll guru applied the new HIRE Act update for payroll to our own system late last week. Now, my number one rule for doing any type of update or upgrade is torecreate the reports.dic file. It never fails (well, at least 50% of the time) Reports.dic gets corrupted. Don’t even say it David Musgrave. I know you are right about shared reports.dic files. After recreating the reports.dic fi
