I just start a new Form project and add a new PictureBox in a form(or anything that generate the .resx file) After that when compiling I always get the following error (in VS 2005): Compiling... blablabla.cpp Compiling managed resources... Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'ResGen, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. Strong name validation failed. Note: I get the same msg just be running resgen.exe without any parameters...what is wrong with my installation????????? Thanks! I am making a program in Visual C++ .NET 2003 and when I copied the directory the source error result files were in (for a new version) and pasted the directory somewhere else, and then added code to the copied version, I got this: error result returned from 'resgen.exe'. I do not know what this means nor how to fix it. I am asking for any help on this at all, please. Then I closed the project workspace, and then re-opened it and clicked re-build. That fixed the problem (for some reason), and thank you for the link. I had been trying to fix it for days.
