I've never updated past 3.2E. I have added IOS's 38, 53 and 55 for various reasons without and trouble. I recently wanted to use waninkoko's dvd dumper 1.3 however it requires cIOS 249 (I tried running dvd dumper 1.3 and it simply restarted my Wii). I used wad manager 1.3 to install cIOS 249 rev 7 yet it came up with ret -1 error. I then retried installation again and now it keeps coming up with error -1017 or something. I've looked around and can't find out what I am doing wrong. I'm sure there is a post out there somewhere that has the solutions so any assistance would be appreciated. Try copying the file to your SD again or downloading it again. nutella, May 26, 2009 Top #2 OP Newcomer eddie182 Member Joined: Aug 31, 2007 Messages: 42 Featured Posts: 0 Country: Hmm, I don't think it's that. It installs fine up until ticket 8 and then errors. Then every subsequent installation after that yeilds the 1017 error. Am I supposed to uninstall something first? eddie182, May 26, 2009 Top #3 Member DKAngel GBAtemp Advanced Fan Joined: Jan 5, 2009 Messages: 659 Featured Posts: 0 Location: Perth,Australia Country

The first step you need to do is to make sure that you have formatted your SD card to FAT. You can do this by simply going to my computer, right clicking what drive letter it is and hit format. 2. Then make a folder in the root http://psp.brewology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=146696 of your sd card called "apps", NOT app, NOT Apps, Just plain old "apps". 3. Then go back to the root of your sd card and make a folder called "wad", NOT wads, NOT Wad. Just plain old "wad". 4. Download these three apps: Anytitle deleter http://wiibrew.org/w/images/8/8c/AnyTit ... er_HBC.zip Wad Manager 1.5 http://teknoconsolas.tv/wanin/WAD-Manager_v1.5.zip cIOSrev14 installer http://teknoconsolas.tv/wanin/cIOS38_re ... taller.zip NOTE* Make sure that there is a boot.dol in each folder. If it is called something like wadmanager.dol, rename it to boot.dol 5. In the apps folder put wad manager v1.5 The "path" to wad manager should look something like F:>apps>wadmanager>boot.dol Now put the anytitle deleter app in the apps folder. The "path" to anytitle deleter should look something like F:apps>anytitledeleter>boot.dol Next put the cIOSrev 14 installer app in the apps folder. The "path" to anytitle deleter should look something like F:apps>CiosInstaller>boot.dol 6. Put all the wad files you want to install in the "wad" folder FIXING 1.Fire up the homebrew channel and there should be three apps, select anytitle deleter. 2. After anytitle deleter has loaded select system titles (it should be the first option.) Somewhere there should be something that looks like IOS249. Scroll over to it and select it then hit "A" to uninstall it.

I have upgraded firmware on wii in the past, not knowing this was even an error ret option. my firmware is 4.2U. I have the homebrew channel on my wii, but when I go to make the IOS 15 downgrade, i can not find the NUS files. My wii is connected to the internet via wireless, and I have the .wad files on the sd card. However, it doesn't give me the option of pulling the files offline, and it comes back with an error every time I try to read the files from the SD card. Previously, I had fixed the error ret 1 IOS files with 'Dop-IOS MOD v11.5.zip'. However, I no longer have an IOS 249 - which I seem to need regardless of the USB loader program I want to use. I had the USB Loader GX 1.0 working, but I couldn't get the forwarder or channel access. After reading some more, I ran across your USB loader, and want to try and use it instead. I would appreciate some help getting IOS 249 working so I can use your USB loader! Thanks! I have done exactly as printed: 1. Create a subfolder of the apps folder called sd:/apps/InstForwarder 2. Unzip WAD-Manager_v1.5.zip and copy WAD-Manager_v1.5.dol to sd:/apps/InstForwarder/boot.dol * Note that this step involves a change in filename 3. Create a folder in the root of the SD card called sd:/wad 4. Unrar "CFG USBLoader - FDCL.rar" and copy "CFG USBLoader - FDCL.wad" to sd:/wad 5. Start the Homebrew Channel and select to launch "/apps/InstForwarder/boot.dol" 6. Read the disclaimer and push A to continue 7. Select t
