All things with all updates.[ I'll start out by saying: check your settings for Service ACLs in Server Admin (select servername, then click the "Access" icon). ]Interesting. I was readinghttp://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/MacOSXServer/Reference/MembershipRef/Reference/reference.htmlwhich led me http://www.lists.apple.com/archives/macos-x-server/2010/Jan/msg00030.html to look through membership.h (found on my 10.6.x client install with Dev tools installed, but not a stock install of 10.6.2 Server). But what's odd is that record-name:com.apple.SharedAddressBookAdminI looked into the record names for Apple default groups (and G(enerated) UID) that include AddressBook:$ for gRp in $(dscl . -list /Groups); do echo -n http://osdir.com/ml/macos-x-server/2010-01/msg00026.html "$gRp "; dscl . -read /Groups/$gRp GeneratedUID; doneWithout any service ACLs in place(see below)for the Address Book service, I findcom.apple.addressbookserver.sharedABs.readwriteandcom.apple.server.globalSharedAddressBookIf you add a Service ACL for the Address Book service(via Server Admin -> Access)the group:com.apple.access_addressbook (Address Book ACL) is createdWhen you add and set the user/group with Administer permission, the following group is created:com.apple.admin_addressbook (Address Book Administrators)If you add an Administrators SACL and set a user/group with "monitor" permission, the group is created:com.apple.monitor_addressbook (Address Book Monitors)So it's not clear to me, where com.apple.SharedAddressBookAdmin fits in.But, I wonder if you had a user set in any Service ACL that was then deleted from your system. _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. These AFP links are generated from a custom apple script that I made which are installed on each machine. The script will get the AFP link on a certain folder or files in our AFP server. error retrieving global We usually email these links to our team for easier file location on the server rather than manually navigating through the folders. All leopard (10.5.6/10.5.8) clients will be presented with the files/folder on a new finder window located on the server when they click the AFP link on the email(Entourage/Apple Mail) or iChat. This works well in Leopard However all 3 of our snow leopard clients are not playing so well. Whenever they click the AFP links they are presented with the error belowConnection failedThere was an error connecting to the server "servername.local" Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. If you are unable to resolve the problem contact your administrator.I know that the server I used is correct as it shows up on the sidebar of the finder, I can also ping the server and can connect using "Connect to Server" on this snow client of ours. I am at lost as to why the snow clients could not co
