got any better.. but error retrieving information about user pam_succeed_if after reboot my root passwd was changed. Checked error retrieving information about user ldap the log and found ALOT of weird stuff. [RH-01]” from the play store up vote 12 down vote favorite 7 It used to work fine but now when I open the Play Store app it says "Error retrieving information from server. [RH-01]" and I can't do anything. I tried clearing the cache of the Google Play Store and Google Play Services but it still has the problem. Gmail still works http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/34524/keep-getting-error-retrieving-information-from-server-rh-01-from-the-play-s from the phone so I don't think it's a problem connecting to my google account. I have an Xperia Arc with custom rom, which turns out to be the problem. If that's not the case (and you are sure you have the correct/compatible GApps installed), try the following: Open the "Google Play" app and press the home button to return Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Applications Select the "ALL" tab, Search for "Google Play Store" and press it to open. Press "Clear cache" Press "Force stop" Return to Settings → Applications → Manage Applications Press "Google Services Framework" Press "Clear Data" Press "Force Stop" Start "Google
