Want to Advertise Here? Solved How to reset the cn=orcladmin password? Posted on 2007-07-02 Oracle Database OS Security 1 Verified Solution 9 Comments 5,264 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-18 Hi! I have installed the Oracle Database 10g and the OIM. Now, I want to install the application server 10g. During the installation, I am asked to "Specify OID Login". The dialog suggests as the user name "cn=orcladmin". I do not remember that I have already logged in with this user name, nor that I have changed its password. But the standard password, "welcome", will not work. I tried the general password I gave all the DB users, but get always the same error. I also tried the password of the OCA administrator, resulting, again, in this same error message: Error__________________________________x Error retrieving the OID Administrator DN. Please ensure that your OID connect information is correct. My questions are: 1) What is the default OID connect information? 2) For the case it doesn't work: Assume that I have lost the OID connect information. How can I reset it so that I can get over this dialog of "Specify OID Login"? What I need is something like a prompt command, like ldapmodifydn, or something that is easy and quickly to do. It should change the password of this user EVERYWHERE AT ONCE: OID, DB, and if it exist, elsewhere. Thank you in advance! 0 Question by:sae1962at Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 16 Best Solution byrolutola sae1962at, It is strange you didn't think my comments helped out at all. Did you notice I pointed you in the direction of the IM ias_admin password? How come you believe this should be closed? I never configure OID. I have no clue what its username/pwd is. After some research, I tried on ODS/ODS and ODSCOMMON/ODSCOMMON but both field. Could anybody give me some clue? I do not see oidservice.exe in %oracle_home/bin folder and I do not see any OID service list in windows services window. Is this mean I do not https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21767871/error-on-OID-login-when-I-install-as10g-midle-tier.html install OID correctly when I install AS 10g infrastructure?
