STEVE The best answer that worked for me was to go into the Windows 7 control panel, select programs and features. Click on the turn on/off features on the left panel Go to Media Features and de-select all. After windows runs its thing it will reboot. Once you're back select those options again with a check mark and reboot. You should be able to put a DVD into drive and start immediatly. If

You insert the disc and it doesn't know what you want to to with it, basically.
