Please check this against your installation diskette. What does this mean and how can I fix it. All help is greatly appreciated. Hi when i turn on my laptop, errors such as Isass.exe-bad image, googleupdate.exe-bad image, etc pop up about three times. and when the log on screen appears, some more errors pop up. after i log in, the wallpaper shows up with no icons. i have tried accessing the task manager with error windows ctrl+alt+del on the wallpaper screen, but another error just pops up saying "taskmgr.exe-bad image- the application or DLL C:WINDOWS/system 32/takavere.ll is not a valid windows image. please check this against your installation diskette"' i click ok, then another error: ctfmon.exe- bad image i click ok, and finally the last error says "task manager has been disable by the adminstrator" i tried starting up in all the different types of safe modes, bad image error and it just leads me to a blue screen that says "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage ...." my computer was like this since yesterday night, and maybe its from a program i downloaded right before it happened (corelvideostudios) although i was convinced it was safe because it came from download.com.... Open an elevated command prompt (start menu > All Programs > Accessories > right click command prompt, run as administrator) and type "sfc /scannow", let the scan finish and post results.. I think it's highly suspicious that your problems seemed to begin with this new software... Have you ran any virus or malware scanners?
