I'm using BitPim and I can sync ringtones, phonebook and wallpaper in the VX9900 profile. I can sync calendar if I use the 8500 Chocolate profile, as I've read here or somewhere. My problem is BitPim. When I try to import an Outlook Calendar (or any Outlook component, for that matter), it gives me an instantaneous error message that "Unable to initialise Outlook. Check to see that it's installed correctly." I've been using this particular installation of Outlook with no problems for about 2.5 years, so I'm pretty sure Outlook is installed right. Has anyone else encountered this, and/or do you know what the problem might be? Thanks in advance for any help. I'vehad this problem with the current version of error with BitPim (0.9.10) and the2 before it as well. The phone is successfully detected - I am not sure what happens afterthat. Here's the log.
