We are doing this using oddcastv3 and a Windows Server 2003 server. We are trying to setup an Icecast2 server. It was installed on a WS 2003 server, and Icecast launched/installed fine. Then we go download lame_enc.dll and put it in the C:\windows\system folder on both the server and my computer. After that, we try and connect using MP3 Lame option in Oddcast, and it says "error with lame_enc.dll". Then we try switching to AAC plus, and it connects fine, but then no one is able to play the stream getting errors of No aacp plugin. We want to stream using lame. Any idea what we're doing wrong? Are we placing lame_enc in wrong folder on the server? Thank you. Back to top AnonymousGuest Posted: Fri Jan 26, 2007 11:55 am Post subject: try this Hi... Yo! I keep getting this error "problem with lame_enc.dll" when I try to connect Oddcast to my SHOUTcast server. Tried with Oddcast 2.0.15 and it worked better than http://www.zoenetworks.net/knowledgebase/52/How-do-I-Setup-Oddcast-dsp-v3.html Oddcast 3. though i made it work on my other PC. all the error i was getting has been solved by copying lame_enc.dll in either Winamp's folder, Windows' folder error with and Windows/system32. that solved the problem, but not this time. i have SHOUTcast 1.9.7 GUI, Oddcast 3 built from Aug. 25th 2006, which must be one of the latest version of Oddcast if not the latest one. any hint on where this error could be coming from? thx!_________________Vocal Trance is the cure for any soul sickness, but one. ... The Metadata box is used to display the current metadata that is being sent to each of the configured broadcast servers. This metadata is taken by default from the media player and can be overriden by clicking the "Edit" button by the Metadata label. Editing Metadata When the Edit button is clicked, the following window appears : This window has 2 sections, one for entering the metadata manually, and that can be used for more automated tasks. To enter the metadata manually, simply enter the metadata in the supplied box and click "OK". This will cause the current metadata to be what you just entered. Additionally, you may "Lock" the metadata, which will prevent any other updates (via the media player or via the external Metadata) to override what you entered. This is, in general, used to set the metadata in a more permanent fashion. In addition to entering the metadata manually, you can configure oddcast to get metadata from external sources. Currently, only file and URL are supported. A interval is specified and every interval, oddcast will either access the File or URL and use that data as it's metadata. If using a File, then oddcast will read the first line of the file and use that as the metadata, and if using a URL, it will similarly read the first line in the response fro
