issues Discuss the database features Post a reply 3 posts • Page 1 of 1 Switchboard extension issues by however » Sat Sep 01, 2012 7:25 pm Hi, I have downloaded and added the SWITCHBOARD extension to my ClinicDB. It seems that a Switchboard table and form were created. When I first run, Tools>>Add-ons>>Switchboard, i get this error window:'Unknown error occurred while loading setting dialog'.andWhen I try to open the form created I get this error window: 'Unknown error occurred while opening Switchboard form document'.but if I open the Switchboard table I can see columns fine I have read many thread on switchboard issues and this problem seem to be NOT very common hence unable to find a good reply that helped me. I have tried to delete the Switchboard table and form and run the the wizard again, as suggested by rbenitez22 on http://extensions.services.openoffice.o ... itchBoard/, but it gives me the same error.Just a quick note; it might be paranoia but I wonder whether MySQL connection has anything to do with it. I have already used the Switchboard extension during creation of the DB project and it worked, before connecting to a back end. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Regards, ApacheOpenOffice 4.1 on Slackware 14.1 however Posts: 160Joined: Fri Mar 02, 2012 3:46 pm Top Re: SWITCHBOARD issues by Greengiant224 » Sat Sep 01, 2012 9:49 pm however;but I wonder whether MySQL connection has anything to do with it.AFAIK Switchboard is incompatible with MySQL - hence your error messages. As Switchboard is a normal writer document you could try the following link:http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic ... witchboardwhich goes some way to explain an alternative remedy by DACM Good Luck Linux 2.6.38, KDE 4.9.2, LibreOffice 3.5.* (Java 1.6.0_35) utilising HSQL 1.8.10 & 2.3.*, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite+ Blood, Sweat and Tears (Application, Determination and Perseverance) Greengiant224 Posts: 269Joined: Wed Jun 09, 2010 3:50 pmLocation: All Over The World Top Re: Switchboard extension issues by however » Sun Sep 02, 2012 9:41 am thank you.I had come across that page several times but always speed reading through the lines and paying little attention to the main point.Sorry for wasting your time and I'll let you know how it goes.Regards ApacheOpenOffice 4.1 on Slackware 14.1 however Posts:

Without HTTP you will get an error from the notification server.. Try this simple workaround- 1. edit your msn account information 2. click on the error with the advanced tab 3. clear use HTTP method 4. make proxy type: no proxy. note this may not work under corporate network environment though as outgoing connection on port 1836 is not commonly allowed.. hope this helps Bhavani Shankar. years ago Last modified 6 years ago #14142 closed defect (notadiumcode) Message could not be sent because an error with the switchboard occurred: Reported by: gld Owned by: Milestone: Component: Service/MSN Version: 1.4b18 Severity: normal Keywords: MSN corporate fail Cc: Patch Status: Description Summary Chat with a corporate MSN user produces the error message "Message could not be sent because an error with the switchboard occurred" and the recipient doesn't receive the message. Steps to reproduce Log on to Adium as normal (with MSN account) Recipient is logged in but stops chatting with me for about 2 minutes Attempt to chat with recipient Expected results Chat should work as normal. This issue only exists for this one user who is on a corporate MSN account. No issues with any other MSN (public) user Actual results If the recipient logs onto their MSN account and chats with me, chats can occur as normal. If there is no chat activity for around 2 minutes, then although I can receive their chats, they cannot see mine. To fix it, I have to ask the recipient to re-login to their MSN then chat can occur until there is a break in activity. If I use the standard Mac MSN client, I don't have this problem. Regression Mac OSX 10.6.4, Adium 1.4b18 (but issues also occur on Adium 1.3.10) Notes The case appears similar to ticket #14140 Oldest first Newest first Threaded Comments only Change History (4) comment:1 Changed 6 years ago by Robby Resolution set to notadiumcode Status changed from new to closed This will require support in LibPurple.
