receiving this error message in my event logs, it is showing up on all of my AD Controllers. Can't find anything to help determine what the issue is, does anyone have an idea? Internal ID: f040533 Rhinehold, Nov 13, 2003 #1 Advertisements Ray Lava [MSFT] Guest Rhinehold, The only time that I have seen this error message, it was caused by one of two things: 1. Check your domain controllers OU in AD Users and Computers snap-in. Make sure that you only have Domain controllers in this folder. If you have member servers or clients, it can cause this type of error. 2. Make a database error sure that your domain controllers are on the latest service pack - preferably SP4 but at least SP3. There were some hotfixes in these service packs that deal with some things that might cause this type of error. It is also recommended that you have all of your domain controllers on the same service pack. If you have sites configured in your domain, make sure that your subnets are properly linked to your sites. If this was not the case, you would normally see other errors, but you can at least rule this out as a possible cause as well. I hope this helps. Just transerred the FSMO roles to the first new DC and all seems ok, despite some errors in the event log about there being 2 primary DC's on the network, but a MS article said if I can still log on I can ignore it, I have not had any more of these errors today (I moved them yesterday). But on the second DC, I now have the following error in the event log;Event Type:ErrorEvent Source:NTDS ReplicationEvent Category:Replication Event ID:2108Date:11/12/2007Time:09:24:15User:NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEMComputer:Domain Controller nameDescription:This event contains REPAIR PROCEDURES for the 1084 event which has previously been logged.
