I will be playing and suddenly I get the following message: Critical Error: Applicaiton Ran out of Memory when requesting 5289104 bytes (limit 2048 MB, current 736MB). I started getting this message after the last major update of EQII. SOE Tech support asks me a few questions and when I say I use EQ2Map updater and Proffit UI, they tell me I need to remove them and contact them as they do not support those programs. Now, I have used both for a long time.... and love them..... its just not the same game with out them. I really don't think thats my probelm.. Can anyone give me any information about this error.. I appologize if I am not in the right place to get information.. There's a huge stickied thread about that error on the official forums, that error message has been happening for several years already. You can try adding this to your eq2.ini force_low_mem_mode 1maybe it helps. Will reduce graphics quality somewhat

I assume you are using a 32-bit Windows OS? EQ2 has a memory leak I posted another resource leak up. For them to say nothing can be done about it is poor programming imo however we are talking about a game 8 years old and doubt soe is focusing any resources on fixes for this game other than bare essentials while all the dev team is moved to EQNext. Sad really because EQ1 still seems to have a dang good dev team bringing content out all the time,. At least as of a week ago, I could zone in on a fresh boot, and would only crash if I tried to change zones into the Guild hall. (ie if I went from the launcher straight to a char camped in the guild hall, it everquest 2 would work; if I logged in to somewhere and used the Recall to Guild Hall, I would crash, as I would if I tried to /camp to a character camped in the guild hall) As of today though (haven't tried it before this week), I can't get into the guild hall, period.I've tried everything I can think of: Textures to minimum, disabled voice chat, sound master volume to everquest 2 critical minimum, disabled the new map, particles to minimum/0 max size, shader distance to -1, game set to "Very high performance", cleared the cache, disabled and/or uninstalled anything beyond drivers that runs at startup ... and I still crash before loading the guild hall successfully Any ideas for what I can try? After an hour and a half of test-and-crash, I've just run out of ideas.I've petitioned to try and have my two chars, who are currently in the GuildHall, moved out of it, and am hopeful that will get them playable again ... but it would be nice to be able to use the guild halls >
