Rivalary Dalayan Beginner Joined: Jan 25, 2005 Messages: 68 Hey guys, I'm getting "Error 1001: Could not connect to the EverQuest server! Please try again shortly." I've tried with both ports forwarded and not forwarded on my router, I've tried directly connected to the net and I've tried without a firewall. The strange part is that my girlfriend can connect fine and she's plugged through the same router. I've checked and our eqhost.txt files are identical. This doesn't make any sense. Sometimes I can log in and sometimes I can't, yet she can always log in. After I try and log in and fail I try logging in on her computer and it logs in fine. Any ideas? Is there something i'm not aware of? *sigh* Both http://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq2/index.php?threads/error-1001.466737/ our systems have a Gigabyte GA-K8NS-9 socket 939 mobos, me with a 4600+ X2 processor, her with a 3800+ I have 2X1 GB DDR ram, she has 1x1GB, 2x512MB ram She has a Nvidia Geforce 7900 GT, I have a 7900 GTX *shrug* Rivalary, Nov 6, 2007 #1 Wesell Dalayan Elder Joined: Aug 25, 2007 Messages: 669 Re: Error 1001: Could not connect to the the Game server! Home login AUTHOR mostlykittenJoined: 11/21/2006Msg: 1does anyone know how I can remove Everquest from my pc?Page 1 of 1 I lent my pc to this woman once, she had 2 teenage boys who were into EQ, they loaded it on, I said it was OK but I'm not a gamer, this pc has been in storage for a few years and just got it out works everquest 2 fine still but still has EQ on it and I am not a gamer, have no use for this, it's taking up a lot of the memory. I went to the control panel and tried to remove it like remove all the other regular stuff but EQ took over my pc and started to set up. Please help? I just want to get rid of it. thanks. Posted: everquest 2 error 1/9/2007 6:34:50 PMYou may have mistaking it for starting to install it for the "uninstall-shield wizard" that came up. There should be something that either gives you options, when you chose to remove it through "Add/remove programs", through the control panel. You do have the option to "back" out if you try to follow through with what you saw originally. You may just have to go a few steps to get the option to delete.I have never really at all dealt with Everquest. But its just like other programs and CAN be removed 110PercentJoined: 4/8/2006Msg: 3does anyone know how I can remove Everquest from my pc? Posted: 1/9/2007 6:54:08 PMI've never had EQ installed, but...If the space it occupies bothers you just delete the folders and the shortcuts. The PC shouldn't care.110% es138Joined: 4/9/2006Msg: 4does anyone know how I can remove Everquest from my pc?
