Mineth, Nov 13, 2012 #2 TSR-SeanF Customer Service In order to resolve this issue please follow these steps: 1) Open the EverQuest launcher and access the Advanced Tools menu by clicking the button in the lower left-hand corner area of the launcher. 2) Click Game Configuration. 3) Click Next twice until you are at the Engine Settings section. Here you will see a resolution drop down menu. Set the game's resolution to 800x600. 4) Try entering the game again. You should no longer encounter this message. You may need to go back and try a few different resolution settings to find one you are comfortable and will not crash the game. TSR-SeanF, Nov 13, 2012 #3 bitefiends Elder Hi I did a search and perhaps this guys solution may help while its not the exact instruction string its similar fix for error I was getting on my laptop: The instruction at 0x034e553e refernced memory at 0xfffffffc. The memory could not be read. this error is usually caused because the video settings on the laptop are too high resolution for the game, set yours on your laptop to 1024x768. start up the game and it will work, you can reset higher if in game it allows you to. like everquest has a setting in the options window. i have been fighting with this forever on my laptop and it finally came to me. was a problem i had on my desktop where the setting in game was too high for the monitor. You can lower the settings of EQ on the patcher, the cog like icon bottom left just under the adverts erm information providing clips i mean Also do you have dx9c installed there used to be a link on the old forums to the download at microsoft. Most likely, you are running into a resolution issue, but you may also be missing DX9. Also, if you have a very small amount of RAM available, that can cause it too. __________________ http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=34375 Trevazar/Trevius Owner of: Storm Haven Everquest Emulator FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) - Read It! trevius View Public Profile Send a private message to trevius Visit trevius's homepage! I5 chip with 8 GB RAM so memeory isn't a problem. I attempted to adjust the resolution issue prior to the first post with negative results. I'm hesitant to disable certain features as recommended. After reading all of the other problems, I'm wondering if it is just too complicated to continue trying to play it. Can anyone recommend any other games similar to this, EQ2, WOW? I'm not into the space age stuff.
