Want to Advertise Here? Solved OWA Exchange 2003 and Internet Explorer 10 and 11. Posted on 2014-02-23 Email Servers Exchange Email Clients 1 Verified Solution 1 Comment 1,395 Views Last Modified: 2014-02-24 I have problem accessing OWA 2003 using IE 10 and 11. Actually IE 10 RTM version (10.0.9200.16542) worked without any problem. Now I ran a couple of windows update and it does the same symptom as IE 11. Basically, even in compatibility mode and with allowing all activex related and tweaking advanced security options in Internet Option doesn't solve the problem. I think it's OWA Add-on added by downloading/installing sMIME in OWA option tab(attached image:err2) doesn't work with IE 10 over RTM and IE11 for some security reason. But this is needed for OWA premium to work because without it, the body pane of email editor in both new email and reply windows seem relying on this updated sMIME downloaded. When I click close or send button in new/reply email window, the window crashes and it shows DEP related error. I added internet explorer in DEP exception list, doesn't help either. (attached image: err1) Then, I uninstalled s/MIME (Microsoft Exchange outlook web access s/MIME) in control panel/Programs, it now starts showing the old problem 'x' on body of email editor (attached image: err3). Before uninstalling the s/MIME, I ran IE in 'no add-on' mode, there's no crash, but 'x' on email editor comes back again. So, this is the add-on causing the window crash. The s/MIME version is 6.5.7638.1. I tried to install older version from the exchange server 2003 std SP2, c:\\Program Files\Exchsrvr\exchweb, it didn't work. I can't get back the internet explorer 10 RTM download, it seems like it always download and update for every installation. This problem happens only on premium logon. Basic logon to OWA works, firefox and chrome works. AT this stage, I think I have done everything I could find in internet
