I had a power eseutil /r outage which looks to have corrupted the mailstore. Running eseutil /r and eseutil /d have completed successfully but the database still isn't mounting. I end up with thismessage: Couldn't

You can either restore from a previous backup. However identifying when and if there is a corruption may be difficult. You may have to go through error 1108 eseutil your event logs to see if you had any Exchange related errors, look for any background cleanup issues. 1. You can also try checking the integrity of your DB How to use the Eseutil utility to perform a checksum procedure on a streaming file http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823167 2. You can repair your DB if it is corrupted using eseutil /p isinteg defrag backup Keep in mind that any time you repair a db, it's exactly what it is, a repair. Your long term solution should be to move your mailboxes to a newly created db. Rather than running a repair, you may want to just create a new db if possible then move your mailboxes. _____________________________James Chong MCSE | M+, S+, MCTS, Security+ msexchangetips.blogspot.com (in reply to staro30) Post #: 2 RE: -1108 errInTransaction operation not allowed within... - 3.Dec.2006 2:37:54 PM staro30 Posts: 30 Joined: 1.Aug.2006 Status: offline Thanks for the swift reply. Both of these processes made no difference. Is it worth doi
