working - action "C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\cmd.exe" with return code 1 Hello Rajkumar, Create a separate simple script for the program which you want to run/test and save it in C:\tasks\ and give the script path in Actions tab.Choose the security option "Run whether user logged on or not" as per below snapshot and check for the difference.Also check mt.exe download history to know more about the task how is running, is there errors/warning. I used to make my QT project via visual studio 2008. Because of a certain reason, I upgraded my visual studio to 2010. So far, compiling QT libraries was fine on my computer. However, when I tried to run my project built in visual studio 2008 which was perfectly fine on 2008, unexpected error occured. error MSB6006: "cmd.exe" eixited with code 1. Solution: You need to place double quotes around the strings in the custom build steps setup window. The problem will only occur, if the tools or the dynamic link library (DLL) are in directories that have spaces somewhere in the name.
