This discussion is locked AlanCE Level 1 (0 points) Q: Error -6765 when reading Airport Extreme config Hey everyone,I have an older Airport Express that I was using only to pipe music from my desktop to my TV room. I didn't use it very often, so I don't have any idea when it quit working, but it stopped being visible to iTunes and my airport card.So I threw it in a box for 6 months. Today I pull it out and download the latest (5.3.1) Airport Utility and try to set it up but Airport Util gives a -6765 error while trying to read the AX configuration.Next I tried updating the firmware to the suggested 6.3 version, but again, the utility errors out after about 15 seconds, same error.Does anyone know the cure for this error? Apple's site doesn't acknowledge/address that error number in any place i can find. I have tried doing it from a new iMac wirelessly and connected via ethernet, MacBook and a G4 with an old 4.2 version of the Admin utility.They all see it but as soon as they try to configure it they throw up the same error -6765. The 5.3.1 version of the utility identifies that it needs a firmware update but that too fails. I have reset it and it still wont play. I have set up an Airport Xtreme and another Express recently without too much hassle but this one's got the hump!
