Almost all of them have send mail tasks for notifications of success/failure. A number of the packages are failing on the send mail tasks with the error "Logon failed: MapiLogonEx failed due to MAPI error 273: MAPI Logon Failed"I can't understand why some would work while others do not. Its consistent behavior per file, but seemingly random which files are not working. Thanks for any help! When trying to execute from SQL Server Agent the following error occurs: MapiLogonEx Failed due to MAPI error 273 I have tried this with the Send Main Task and using the DTSSendMailTask Object in an ActiveX Script. I get the same result regardless. The mail client I'm using is MS Outlook 2000 but this same errors with Outlook Express. I'm pretty sure it is related to security some how but can't seem to come up with a resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated. SQL Mail and the Send Mail task both use MAPI profiles, (so Outlook Express will not work, you must have something like Outlook 200 installed), and a profile is related to an NT user. When you run the package it will use your profile. You select the profile in the Send Mail task. SQL Server Agent uses a service account, set in Properties or Control Panel. So to use Send Mail when a package is scheduled the service account must be an NT account with a profile, and the name of that profile must match that set in the task.
