We remember having this already in php https://www.drupal.org/node/1532518 5.5, but it's basically a magento bug. Alternatively I would just reommend installing via this github repo renini commented Jun 16, 2014 thanks for your quick reply. Then find the code: if (!($header['name'] == '././@LongLink' && $header['type'] == 'L')) { $header['name'] = trim($header['name']); return $header; } And replace it with: if (!(trim($header['name']) == '././@LongLink' && $header['type'] == 'L')) { $header['name'] = trim($header['name']); return $header; } Hope this will help you. renini commented Jun 16, 2014 @osvarychevskyi perfect! that fixed it. I do a file_exists check on it before I do fopen and it returns true (the file does exist). However, the file fails this code and gives me the error every time: $handle = fopen($filename, 'w'); if($handle) { flock($handle, LOCK_EX); fwrite($handle, $contents); } else { echo 'ERROR: to open file Unable to open the file for writing.',PHP_EOL; exit(); } flock($handle, LOCK_UN); fclose($handle); Is there a way I can get more specific error details as to why this file does not let me open it for writing? I know that the filename is legit, but for some reason it just wont let me write to it. I do have write permissions, I was able to write and write over another file. php file file-io filesystems share|improve this question edited Aug 12 '14 at 17:25 Tshepang 4,6731059102 asked Apr 27 '10 at 6:51 asdasdas 412 file existence has nothing to do with writing to this file. you can write to unexisted file as well. it will be just created. There is some other cause, can be revealed by error message. –Your Common Sense Apr 27 '10 at 6:57 Note about file_exists() - it checks both files and directories; PHP also has is_file() for files and is_dir() for directories. –binaryLV Apr 27 '10 at 7:52 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote Just because the file exists doesn't mean that you have permission

The image was saved in /sdcard/mydir/bgs. When I try to load a image with setImageViewUri method, I've this error: Unable to open content: file:///storage/emulated/0/sdcard/mydir/bgs .. then ... open failed: EACCES (Permission denied) This appears only on the the home screen and only with Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 (with latest launcher 4.4 this bug not exist). I've also have some RemoteViews on my application and all works correctly. I've also added into manifest either READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, either WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE. How can I solve? UPDATE: I've inspect the method setImageViewUri and I've found that it changes the path of my file. if (value != null) { // Resolve any filesystem path before sending remotely value = value.getCanonicalUri(); if (StrictMode.vmFileUriExposureEnabled()) { value.checkFileUriExposed("RemoteViews.setUri()"); } } This method receive my value (/sdcard/mydir/bgs) and changes it into (storage/emulated/0/sdcard/mydir/bgs). But this file not exists into system via adb. android widget nine-patch share|improve this question edited Dec 17 '13 at 10:57 asked Dec 17 '13 at 10:19 CeccoCQ 1,438103460 Share your code and also post your full logCat output. –Vipul Purohit Dec 17 '13 at 10:37 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 8 down vote You need
