The first time it happened, I couldn't record anything at all and received the error 24/7 after attempting to record Outlast. After that I re-installed Bandicam and I am able to record everything BUT Outlast. I have tried (almost) every other forum's solutions, and none have worked for me.Please respond soon so I can get back to my channel that is waiting for a video tomorrow. Discussion in 'Convert DVD to another format' started by aberglas, Dec 8, 2008. aberglas Member Joined: Dec 8, 2008 Messages: 3 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 I am trying to rip DVDs to a little MP3 player, which appears to be a Herculean task. After much stuffing around with various utilities that did not work I used DVD Decriptor to disk, DVDx to an AVI file, and then the MP3 players' supplied converter to their magic format. But then https://www.bandisoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3650&p=12713 I stupidly uninstalled the many crap utilities that I had collected and DVDx stoped working. Does not produce .avi files. "Failed to initialize video codec. Check export format (YUY2, RGB)." Could still produce mpeg1 files (slowly) but tended to truncate the end (I pressed WHOLE). I suspect it had been using a good codec, and then after my clean up started using an internal or crappy one. I tried http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/dvdx-stoped-working-codec-problems-how-to-tell-which-codec-used.671545/ reinstalling both DVDx and DivX a few times, and rebooting, to no avail. Uninstalling is always dubious, I suspect that I am in DLL hell. Is there any way to tell what codecs are (thought to be) installed, and what is being used by what? regsrv32 does not have a query option. I suspect that I need to reinstall windows, or use another computer to get DVDx working. I am now playing with Auto Gordian Knot. It seems better packaged, but very slow and poor UI (no progress indicator). And no option to set output screen size. The hours that I have wasted on this simple task is very frustrating. I have no idea how a non-technical user gets this done. Anthony aberglas, Dec 8, 2008 #1 onya Guest If it were my system..I'd run ccleaner in reg mode then make a restart. Then use G spot to determine which codecs you have and then what is needed. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm If you're missing some codecs, they are available in the Downloads section here at aD. Cheers. EDIT: Spelling. Last edited by a moderator: Dec 8, 2008 onya, Dec 8, 2008 #2 iluvendo Regular member Joined: Oct 19, 2005 Messages: 3,312 L

It has built-in quality presets (34 so far), supports a lot of video (pre/postprocessing) filters and a few audio filters as well. Further it supports 9 different audio codecs and has a (limited) batch encoding capability. Muxing is also supported for the MKV, MP4 and OGM containers. h264enc by default outputs to AVI and then remuxes it to the chosen container. h264enc heavely relies on MEncoder and MPlayer as it uses both to do the whole setup/encoding at http://h264enc.sourceforge.net is a FAQ about h264enc, so if anyone is interested, just go put up some coffee and read it through h264enc is also available from my openSUSE build service repo http://download.opensuse.org/reposit...me:/microchip8 __________________ h264enc--ffx264--ffhevc--audenc--file2dvd The Cyberpunk Database Last edited by froggy1; 26th April 2009 at 22:44. froggy1 View Public Profile Visit froggy1's homepage!
