Moderator: jware.connectwise Post a reply 6 posts • Page 1 of 1 Agent Install Error by jjonns.i-techc » Wed Nov 20, 2013 3:32 pm I have tried several methods to get the Labtech agent to install on a Windows XP SP3 computer.When trying to install with agent_install.exe, I get an error that says "Configuration system failed to intialize".The msi install returns this error: Error 1001: Could not find file "C:\windows\LTSvc\LTSVC.InstallState" after running to near completion. When inspecting this folder, 2 .tmp files are left behind. This error is reported in the Windows system event log:*************************************************************System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Configuration system failed to initialize ---> System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Unrecognized configuration section system.serviceModel. Also, where do you get this exception? Can you provide the stack trace of this exception? This will help us to analysis this problem. Additionally, I see one issue which is caused by wrong encoding of system web.config file. I get the exception when I try to install the service. The code compiles without any errors or warnings. Here is what I get in the command prompt after trying to install.
