However, I get an error as follows: Error: 6170 Failed to evaluate variable. - Variable: x - Global scope Failed to evaluate variable. - Variable: rho - Defined as: sqrt(((x)^2+(y)^2)) Failed to evaluate expression. - Expression: u-rho I would like to ask if there is a way to define the global equation such that it accepts a global variable like rho? If not, how can I use coupling variable or some other ways to get the coordinates in the whole domain. By the way, how can I obtain the Jacobian numerically in Comsol? Thank you very much for your advice and help! the modeling library step by step. When I work on the backstep with argyris element in fluid dynamics and try to solve, I get this error message: Error:6170 Failed to evaluate http://osdir.com/ml/science.analysis.femlab/2006-07/msg00080.html variable -Variable: ut -Geometry: 1 -Dimension: 2 -Domains:{1} Failed to evaluate expression -Expression: http://wenku.baidu.com/view/1cd93251f7ec4afe04a1df3e.html diff(((+(2*eta0*ux).*test(ux)+(eta0*(uy+vx)).*test(uy)+(rho0*(u*ux+v*uy)).*test(u)-+(+(1).*ut).*test(u))*dvol),psiy_test) I've tried this example a few times and I'm sure I've not made a typo. Since I'm not familiar with this software and am following directions, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks. ------------------------ Yahoo! Can anybody help me? The problem is this: How can I simulate one (or more) charge, for example with a value of 4 Coulomb to move along a cylinder of 20 cm long and failed to evaluate 0.5 cm radius? Can anybody explain how I can do it? Ca anybody sand me one example? Thanks a lot for the help! __________________________________________________ Fale com seus amigos de graça com o novo Yahoo!
