reformatting my computer. But after I did a reformat i've been getting an error when I start up my computer that says: CPU Fan Error! That was 5 days https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIDrJ0uZq2U ago... today i bent down to pick up something and saw that my fan wasn't even moving! I quickly removed the case cover worried that my cpu will overheat.. Can anyone explain why my fan stopped working? Did my reformat erase a driver or something thats needed for the fan? Take the fan out, connect it up to an external power supply. What happens ? Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top Richard0600 Posts: 51 This post has been reported. I dont think i'm that comfortable with handling computers, I've never assembled one before... so taking out the fan seems a bit too complicated... and if there are no other solutions to this problem I will probably haul my computer back down to the shop... but as for the moment is there any other method? The red light on the fan still lights up its just the fans not spinning, so i believe there is still power going into the fan if that was what your question was directed at.
