I've just been rebuilding my now rather elderly but otherwise perfectly good Laptop, several service packs and 125 updates later it's just about ready to start using - so the first thing I installed was Google Drive, I find Google drive brilliant for sharing various documents between my laptop, Mac, IPod, Phone and tablets! So I logged into Google Chrome and downloaded Google Drive and started to Install only to be met with a 1603 Fatal error!!!!!! Now if I had a pound for every time I've installed Google Drive... well I'd have at least a tenner! but I've never come across this error before. I found several web articles talking about permissions and ensuring that the Google folder under "Program Folders" isn't set to read only but all this was to no avail!
