Exchange installed fine, configured fine, was sending / receiving mscorwks.dll appcrash email and then broke. Here are the symptoms: Event ID 1023, .NET Runtime Version 2.0.50727.5653 - Fatal Execution Engine Error Event ID 1000, Application Error, Faulting Application MSExchangeMailboxReplication.exe version 14.1.289.0. error, "Windows PowerShell has stopped working" Both the Event Viewer and Power Shell crashes reference the mscorwks.dll file I can open the Event Viewer from another computer (which is how I got all the above information) It seems likely thatthe issue would be the mscorwks.dll file but I'm unsure how to go about repairing it without breaking something else. Also, it looks like things broke during a round of updates, there were 15 updates installed, including a security update for .net 3.5 sp1 (kb2449742) but I thought I would check here before going through them all. Any help would be appriciated. This server was supposed to go live tomorrow... guess not anymore. Thanks in advance. What caused this? up vote 1 down vote favorite I have a new program which has been running 24/7 for over 2 weeks now but last night it crash/went down with no Fatal log exception in my log4net file ...the process appears to have been killed by someting .... http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3871067/net-runtime-bug-net-runtime-2-0-error-event-id-1000-crashed-my-program-wh and when I looked in the Windows Event Viewer Application log it contained an error for the programs process saying '.NET Runtime 2.0 Error' Type: Error EventID: 1000. This appears to be a .Net runtime failure/bug and has nothing to do with my code. Does anyone know what caused this?
