And today, I've just got KB928365 installed through Automatic Updates, fixing critical flaw in .NET Framework 2.0. When I customized Infragistics UltraWinGrid (in "Manage Presets" menu), VS2005 suddenly crashed without warning! It didn't inform any information/message about this crash. The only information I could obtain were located in the Event Log (Application node, Source: .NET Runtime, Event ID: 1023) which said: ".NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.832 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A0592A2) (80131506)" ".NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.832 - Fatal
Guest Guest We have a .NET application using Windows Forms. This application terminates unexpectedly once or twice a day for our customers. The following entry is listed in the event log: ..NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.832 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A0592A2) (80131506) This problem appears to have started recently in the past 1 or 2 months. Is this a known issue, and if so, are there any workarounds? I am really at a loss as to how to deal with this problem. How do you suggest I go about debugging or troubleshooting this https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/bd2313f2-ac29-4570-93ec-384aef52f4ea/kb928365-infragistics-ultrawingrid-preset-manager-and-fatal-execution-engine-error?forum=winformsdesigner issue? My computer has been applied the SP3 patch but it doesnt resolve the problem. For example, when I tried entering receipient's email I get a Runtime error and ask me to debug, or send error report. As well as, our company has a shared calendar, on few occasions I can edit the items in the calendar but when the fatal execution Runtime error shows up, I cannot edit anything. I have re-installed Microsoft Office 2003, but that didn't solve the problem. It is weird that our other users are not receiving this error, only me. The error as stated below in the Event Viewer. Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8169.0, stamp 465f28e3, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.832, stamp 461f2e2a, debug? 0, fault address 0x000c87cc. ..NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.832 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A0592A2) (80131506) Is there fatal execution engine a patch for fixes that would solve this problem, any help would be appreciated. Hi, we have just faced an odd problem with our .NET 2.0 Windows Service application and we haven't find any solution so far. For some unknown reason the .NET 2.0 Framework crashes immediately after a COM+ client-side call and our windows service fails to start everytime because of that. The Event log contains the following error messages (two): Source: .NET Runtime Description: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.832 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A0592A2) (80131506) Source: .NET Runtime 2.0 Error Description: Faulting application serveritsekkeri.exe, version 1.0.0.0, stamp 479df12e, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.832, stamp 461f2e2a, debug? 0, fault address 0x000c63bf The crashing has been detected on our customer server (Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2 32 bit running on the Xeon 5130 processor (multi-core)). But for some odd reason our application works without problems on our test server (Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP2 32 bit running on the Celeron processor (single-core) or a development machine (Windows XP Professional SP2 32 bit, Pentium 4 2,4 Ghz (single-core)). After googling on the problem I found a lot of people getting the same "Fatal Execution Engine Error" with their .NET 2.0 application. I found even a hot fix (KB913384) relating to the problem from Microsoft ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913384 ) but it didn't help. Somebody had solved the problem by deleting the current user account profile (possible corrupted one) and creating a new one (according to KB913384 the problem is caused by a user account without a profile). I also removed some security updates in case of a buggy update but no luck. Finally I found an interesting bug report relating to the samekind of problem: Fatal Execution Engine Error using a method returning a matrix if component is in a COM+ application on a x64 machine https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=291290&wa=wsignin1.0 According to this report the bug was also detected on a computer running on the Xeon multi-core processor and it was a CLR bug. The bug has been closed (fixed) but is it possible that I have I found it again in my own situation? Is it possible that there is a CLR bug which shows up only on Xeon multi core processors when executing CO
