Went to Compaq site to update drivers and applications etc and before HP Support Solutions would scan and download an application to check for updates to install I was hit with .NET framework initialization error. It stated, "to run this application you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET frameworkv4.0v2.0.5.0727Contact your application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET framework"I went to Microsoft knowledge database but haven't a clue what version is appropriate for my computer. Can someone give me a clue? I see more explanation is necessary.I tried Windows Update but Microsft tries to find the latest version and considering I am using XP which they no longer support it isn't a surprise they state "the website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view.....I am sure there are updates I am missing as I haven't used this desktop since 2008. My laptop died 3 months ago and I am trying to get this PC at it's optimum so I did a factory reset. I found a place to download SP3 which allowed me to get up and running with Mozilla, the old Outlook Express I made accessible and
