Contributor 1 Answer Re: My Frigidaire Affinity Dryer says the door is open... Had the same problem. Display says "Open Door", even frigidaire affinity dryer through the door was closed. I tested the door switch and it checked out OK. Turns out the thermal limiter switch(es) are in series with the door open switch. The cause of my issue was that the intake high limit switch was bad. In my model (FASG7073LWO) there are 2 high-limit switches, one for the intake (where the flame is) and one for the exhaust (in the sheet metal tube after the blower motor). The exhaust one showed continuity between the poles, but the intake switch showed open. Problem solved. This web page has a video has on how to take the thing apart and replace the switch.
