I posted the technical explanation of the E4A error code in the first image below. That code may be normal if the dryer is not heating or ran a cycle longer than expected. Before you replace that control board, I recommend that you perform some basic troubleshooting tests. The dryer will run if only 120 volts is supplied to it. The dryer will not heat if it is missing the second leg of 120 volt power in the 240 volt supply circuit. I recommend that you check the house circuit breakers or house fuses for the dryer electrical outlet. If one of the house fuses is blown or a circuit breaker is tripped, then replacing the fuse or resetting the circuit breaker may fix your problem. If you find no problems there, then you may need to check the voltage at the electrical outlet for the dryer (if you feel comfortable making that check).
