Expression > Expression Web and SuperPreview Question 0 Sign in to vote I recently started get this error when webforms are submitted: FrontPage Error. User: please report details to this site's webmaster. Webmaster: please see the https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/308242 server's application event log for more details. What is suppose to happen is when the Submit button is clicked, the form is emailed and the viewer should get a Confirmation page. As I mentioned, this use to work just fine for all the sites I am hosting on my server. But recently different forms will throw the error above and not submit. When this happens, I have not a definitive way to fix it but end up performing https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b17e83be-cd36-4e3c-9f55-915ad733e7ef/why-am-i-all-of-a-sudden-getting-frontpage-error-when-submitting-a-webform?forum=web some or all of the steps below: IISReset Stop and Start the individual site Go into FP Server Extension properties in IIS and make a change and then change back. Run both a Check Server Health and Recalculate the Web Publish the site to a backup site Re-boot the server. There are no Application Log event errors when this happens. Some of the forms work while other stop working. There is no reason that I can see why some of the stop at times and need me to take the steps mentioned above. Sometimes when I fix the ones that have stopped the ones that were working later will stop.Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks Saturday, June 07, 2008 9:29 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Are these all "your" web sites on "your" server, or are their client sites maintained by other people? Are all of the sites individual "server extensions web" sites or virtual directories with just the root web extended?FrontPage MVP Sunday, June 08, 2008 8:32 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote All our individual websites on my server. Is it not giving you the option or is there an error message when you try the form?Try sending an email to support - it is possible that the SMTP service is not installed correctly on your account.RegardsGeorge frontpage error sending Marchewawww.tutshi.com Logged RegardsGeorge Marchewawww.tutshi.com Steve Herold Hero Member Posts: 2,185 Karma: +17/-70 frontpage form can't send to e mail « Reply #2 on: December 22, 2004, 09:11:19 PM » Since this is your first message you might want to verify that the email address you are sending the messages from is an actual email account.Next it would help if you gave us a little more information like what component you are using to send the messages.Steve Logged gaon Hosting Newbie Posts: 2 Karma: +0/-0 frontpage form can't send to e mail « Reply #3 on: December 23, 2004, 03:11:44 AM » the error occurs when you go into the form properties in the "send to" fiel you have 3 options send to file name and e mail 2)send to database 3)send to other so i am putting send to e mail the email that is associated with my domain name and it tells me fronpage error 'this form cannot be configured to send results via e mail .the website may be located at a disk based location or on a server thahas not been configured to send e mail contact system administrator Logged eksimba
