My full specs are two quad core xeon x5450 processors, a gtx 960 video card which I had upgraded from a gtx 570 back in september, fsb error two hard drives, 1 is a 1 TB the other is a 640 gb both are from hitachi, a standard dvd-rw drive, 8 gigs of ram, a sound blaster audigy sound card and I'm running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. The issue is that my computer randomly reboots with a 927 error non fatal FSB error on front side bus 0 followed by F7err: Detected MCERR from a processor, and it doesn't blue screen either just the system reboots itself with no warning. The issue first happened about 3 weeks ago fsb error and has happened 3 times so far, but one of the times there was no error code. when it happened with out an error code I had just booted up from a cold boot after my system was powered down all day and I powered it up and walked away for about ten minutes to do something and when I returned it had shut off and I got the black screen from windows that stated it did not shut down properly. The two times it had done it is when I was playing fallout 3 heavily modded. Now about a month and half ago my system did crash with a bsod that was related to my video card drivers. I had since then moved my 960 to the bottom pci-x slot as recommended on another forum and uninstalled all nvidia software and used driver cleaner and cc cleaner to remove all the nvidia registry files. I also deleted all the nvidia files out of my system32 folder just to be on the safe side. the next step I plan on taking tomorrow is doing a thourough clean out of my computer case, run mem test for a few hours and run some anti virus software, but what other trouble shooting steps should I take? I also have the latest bios for the mother board. I have never ran into an issue like this in all of my years of working on and trouble shooting computers and any help would be greatly appreciated. stoggs1 View Public Profile Find all posts by stoggs1 (#2) AsiJu Maha Guru Videocar
