error comes up " An FTP error has occurred-connot make connection to host your login or password is incoorct. Please check your connection information.I have check my login, password and the rest of the remote info and they are correct. I've got intouch with easily and they say all the info is correct and it does seem to connecting to the server through net2ftp. I've used the settings 'use passive ftp' an ftp error occurred dreamweaver cs5 and 'use fire wall'. I've checked the firewall port is 21. I've check the firewall settings for both windows and Kaspersky to allow dreamweaver through.I have been useing cs4 for some time with no problems until the web site I maintain aquired a malware two weeks ago. I removed the web site from my computer and installed the backup (correctly?). The issue is described as follows; Every time I open Dreamweaver I receive the message "an ftp error occurred - cannot make connection to host. Your login or password is incorrect. Please check your connection information.". When I enter the information in manage sites it works perfectly. Unfortunately this happens every time I close and re-open dreamweaver. The solution and description to this error is set out below; The Adobe 8.0.2 update fixes a problem of FTP usernames and passwords in Dreamweaver site definitions being deleted when you close and re-open Dreamweaver 8 or when you reboot your machine. Are you trying to upload via a secure connection (SFTP) that's being rejected? You can always try Filezilla, which is free. If nothing else, that may give you some clues.
