Vz Fuel Gauge Error Contact Dealer
"Fuel Gauge Error:Contact Dealer" popping up. The car still runs fine. My traction control is also staying off now and my coolant temp gauge is staying at Cold. I tried to unhook my battery for 15 seconds to reset the ECM, but that did not work either. , every now and then i go to start the car and it wont wind over or start. i get the following faults, transmission error, fuel gauge error , very low fuel , service vehicle soon, contact dealer. some times esp failed as well. now this can happen anytime as in cold or warm starts, the check eng light stays on. i had holden throw the computer on it and they said it was E10 fuel and it had a miss fire code. Now this happened again 3 weeks later and i had a local guy throw his after market thing on and it said replace ecu. then i finally got a day off and left it with holden the whole day, the end result was its the immobilizer in the key, so i get a new key and sure as shit 2 weeks later bamm again it strikes. I take the pos bat terminal off for a few mins and it must clear the fault so i can start it again. Now i dont know weather to bite the bullet and cough up the 1k to replace the ecu, or start at crank sensors, abs sensors or what. If anyone has had this before and can help i would much appreciate this. sorry for the long write up by more info more help. silver_ss01-09-2009, 08:00 PMhey mate i am an auto elecky and have been faced with this problem a few times resulting in the bcm failing not the ecu. the bcm and ecu are coded together and relise on a message from the bcm to ecu to alow it to start. i wouldnt go replacing the ecu without having it proved 100% shure thats the fault. i may be able to help if you have any percific questions hope this helps kpop01-09-2009, 08:01 PMhow is your battery. my battery was old and dieng, and i would regurarly get esp failed warning when starting. got a new battery, car starts up much quicker, and no warnings so far... dasko03-09-2009, 09:56 AMthanks for replies Im chasing a bcm price now, the battery seems fine ive never had any trouble of cranking so thanks for that thought, i didnt think of it lol. will keep you posted. fishman8803-09-2009, 08:45 PMHad e
