! That ECB.....is it the board mounted on the riser near the RAM and IO ports ? by unknown on Dec 15, 2004 at 9:22am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 LECC, no, the board you are looking 50.2 fuser error p4015 at is the Formatter. What Brian is talking about is the main Engine Board which is sandwiched between the top and bottom half's of the printer. It does sound like an Engine Board problem, seeing as you have swapped out the Fuser. This is a major replacement job, expensive and you really need to know what you are doing. No job for an amateur. If you wish to have a go at the board replacement, I will be happy 50.3 fuser error to send you the Service Manual plus offer any practical advice I can. However, it is an expensive job and quite complicated. Trev by Trev Pearson on Dec 15, 2004 at 11:44am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Brian, Trev, First ... I want to thank you for your fast reply. I'll see how much the board retails....if it's too expensive, I will probably go for a brand new HP 4200N for under 2K $ (canadian) LECC by unknown on Dec 15, 2004 at 12:05pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Brian, Trev, First ... The early models had a fuser problem too, the films shredded. HP resolved the problem with a modified design to the fuser. Something about endplate angles being wrong. I checked to make sure all connections are tight, no broken teeth. I'm hesitant to replace fuser core again, because that might not solve the problem, any ideas? Someone suggested the main board replacement, but it's expensive, is it worth it? Last edited by Scline30; 11-29-2006 at 12:32 PM. I think we're going to go for a new or refurbished printer. It's had a lot of problems with other things as well. It quit feeding out of the paper tray awhile back, although I replaced rollers, etc. when I received the maint. kit. At some point you have to cut your losses. RE: fuser error with a good fuser hpwizzard (IS/IT--Management) 4 Jan 10 06:45 50.2 is fuser warm up service error. You might want to check the Low PSU in the printer. It has two internal fuses where one is for the fuser heating element (F1). If the fuse is blown, it will generate 50.2 error. RE: fuser error with a good fuser mufka (ISP) (OP) 4 Jan 10 18:31 Fuses are ok. RE: fuser error with a good fuser hpwizzard (IS/IT--Management) 5 Jan 10 05:07 If the fuses are OK we must assume the power supply for the fuser is good and then the isssue would be located on the engine controller board where the fuser heater control is. If the heater control does not send a signal to activate the heating in the fuser it will also generate the 50.2 error if a thermistor is blown.ECU schematics -> http://www.countryfisher.com/images/temp/ec
