It could be the temperature sensor on the fuser unit or the sensing circuitry in the printer. Fuser is easier and cheaper to try first. If it is the first thing I would try is another fuser unit. 0 Message Active 2 days ago Author Comment by:edo602007-09-25 yes it becomes too hot after i cool it down the sistem for 20 minutes , could be the fuser unit? thanks edo 0 LVL 9 Overall: Level 9 Printers and Scanners 9 Peripherals 2 Message Active 1 day ago Accepted Solution by:joed2007-09-25 That indicates to me that at least power circuit is heating the unit. If not that then you have a spare to use at a later date when required. If you have another printer of same model swap the fuser units between them. 0 Message Active 2 days ago Author Comment by:edo602007-09-25 I already ask for the unit, as you say, if isn't the fuser what more can I try? thanks edo the control panel gave me so far 50.4 error 50.2 error 50.1

I didn't replace the fuser, the company that owns it did. I'll have to ask them if they were getting the error before http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/35330 they replaced the fuser. Thanks for the help again DMZ - mharris 0 Yes they were getting the 50.4 error before the new fuser was put in. by mharris on Jan 20, 2006 at 9:12am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Still think that is wierd. Never heard of anything but a wrong fuser causing that error. I guess it could be the dc controller or even the low voltage ps but that would also be a stretch. Best bet is to try a known good fuser again. Make sure it is for the 5000. by dmzcompute on Jan 20, 2006 at 12:17pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Please sign in to comment Unknown Printer Buy discount ink Buy this printer © Copyright 2011-2016, FixYourOwnPrinter.com, Inc.
