For the HP LaserJet P4014 series the HP Service manuals (all editions) simply say: 50.6: Open fuser ... which isn't helpful. Judging from what similar printers like the LaserJet 4200 etc reported in this case it seems to mean "open circuit" rather than mechanically not shut and the report relates to the heater, not the thermistor or photointerrupters. However there is an unfortunate mix of printers and errors using this code which obfuscates its meaning . 50.6 Fuser error Main or sub thermistor bad 50.6 Fuser is defective (drive circuit failure) CLJ 2600N/ 4600 / 4700 CP4005 / 9500 / 5500 open fuser heating circuit between the fuser and low-voltage power supply CLJ 4500 6 fuser heater cutoff CLJ 8500/8550) A heater error has occurred 1 Turn the printer off and

It currently has a 50.6 fuser error, which I've looked up and shows that there is a problem with the fuser heater cutoff. However, I have tried with 3 fusers, and I keep getting the same error. I know that the fusers work as I've tried them on a 4550N, which uses the same fuser, and they work fine on that printer. Has anyone come across this problem and know how to fix it? -- Scorpio scorpio18, Oct 16, 2006 #1 Advertisements Jaimie Vandenbergh Guest On Tue, 17 Oct 2006 18:07:58 +0100, ">{daZza}<"
