printer's display. These errors often seem to appear out of thin air, and are known for a proclivity to do so at the most inopportune of moments. Instead of having to rely on emergency trips to FedEx Kinkos, become familiar with your printer and its vocabulary. In this blog we are going to explain what the HP 50.9 fuser error fuser error hp laserjet 600 code means and how you can correct it.The 50.9 error code is one of the most common errors you will receive on an HP 3000,3600,3800,2700 or CP3505 series printer. This particular error code relates to the printer's fuser assembly and indicates that the unit is either defective or not installed correctly. Any time you get a 50.9 fuser error on your HP printer, you should try turning the printer off, check that the fuser assembly is properly installed and then turn the power back on. This can sometimes completely remedy the issue, though typically this will provide only a temporary solution as the error is likely to return after printing a few more pages. When the error returns after turning it off, it's time to replace your fuser unit. The unfortunate truth is that fuser assemblies usually have a lesser lifespan than the printer. More often than not, you will go through several fuser assemblies throughout the lifespan of the printer itself. HP themselves estimate the average fuser is good for about 100,000 pages printed, but unfortunately fusers often fail

Now they are getting more specific in detail so you can troubleshoot errors like the 50.9 fuser fuser error error, making them easier and hopefully resolving the issue without buying unwanted parts. One important issue that has been known to cause problems with fusers is surge arrest or power strips. More and more electrical devices are being used in offices everyday. With that comes power strips to make sure everything can be plugged in and used. LaserJets are like big heaters, they draw a fuser error hp lot of power so they need to be plugged into their own socket and make sure no other heating device like a coffee maker, copier, or space heater is plugged into the same circuit. These machines have a certain time frame in which to get to its correct operating temperature so if other large devices are drawing power on the same circuit it could cause these machines to work incorrectly. If you were to call HP one of the first questions they always ask is if the machine is plugged straight into the wall or on a power strip or battery back up. The 50.9 fuser error on the HP Color LaserJet 3000, 3600, 3800, CP3505 means the fuser unit is overheated. Sometimes a result of heavy usage, improper ventilation, or dealing with certain media types. The unit might start working again just by turning off and waiting a few minutes for it to cool down. odd dilemma.I own a CP3505 purchased back in 2008 and so far it has worked like a charm. This morning I got a fuser error and noticed streaking and black spots on my pages. I removed and reinserted the fuser and then printed the cleaning page and calibrated. Still no cigar. The fuser error disappeared but the pages printed continued to have the blotches.Called up HP Business support and even though my extended warranty ran out, were willing to assist me. Printed a diagnostic page whose left hand side looked a complete mess. He then suggested removing the cartridges, disabling the cartridge check, and printing a demo page to see if any marks appeared. Sure enough they did reappear and so then he was going to instruct me with further steps. But first and foremost I had to reinsert the cartridges, but could not close the front door after putting all four CMYK toner cartridges into their respective slots. Puzzled, I even shut off the machine and tried inserting even one cartridge but the front door could not close. I know there is some kind of a locking mechanism on the right hand side which currently moves as I start closing the front door but it does NOT lock the toner cartridge in place. Talk about going from the frying pan into the fire. I'm at a loss as to why the locking mechanism on the right hand side is not working correctly and ultimately how the door is not closing. Is any advice you folks can offer regarding both the front door/lockmechanism issue along with the fuser/print quality problem?Your answers and suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Respond to this 0 Those cartridge locks tend to break easily and they're not easy to replace. You might want to read this explanation of how it works and how to troubleshoot it. http://blog.marketpoint.comYour fuser problem sounds like you'll need to replace the fuser assy., although I don't understand how you got it to print with the 50.2 error. That should inhibit printing. by moe on Aug 24, 2012 at 11:07am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks for the response Moe.The fuser problem seems intermittent so it could print once the fuser was reseated but came back again. Your link the blog was VERY useful, though that repair process could best be described as tedious and definitely not for the faint of heart. At this point I'm debating if I should just (for at least now) write off the CP3505 and contemplate purchasing another laser instead of trying to find a repair guy for those levers and sorting out the fuser issue.I have an older Xerox 6250DN which I could use as stopgap, then think about repairing the HP or may just have to write
