The manual says press the down arrow, then # them T but it also say to "set the 8 bit parameter installation configuration 1 to 1" before pressing the keys. No where in this manual can I find where to set that dip switch Help please from a 20 year tech( who is a little embarrassed to ask how to fix this darn little printer). Now press down arrow, then # and finally the T button. Power down the printer then power on. Go back in and change the first bit back to 0 and you should have your printer back! Now why can't they put that into the service manual! BTW I have the service manual if anyone needs it! Reply With Quote 02-28-2010

This is a common error especially if you have power surges or outages, before calling in follow the following steps: Press Down Arrow Press * press # select SOS1 switch the first digit from a 0 to a 1 press OK Press the Red Stop buttonNow you need to clear the error press the down arrow Press # press the letter T ( on the keyboard of the printer)It should reboot itself although it may not, if it doesn't then turn off the switch then back on. you should see some black bars flashing on teh screen. This clears the error and wil help determine if the fuser is actually broken. Before you print and start using it you have to set it back to operational mode by doing the following steps Press the Down Arrow Press * Press # select "SOS1" Change first digit from 1 back to 0 press OK Press the red stop but
