The "Game Pak Error" is a result of a copy protection they have implemented to detect sram, when the actual save type is EEPROM. With these roms, you have to manually set the save type to EEPROM. Now, there is another block that has yet to be figured out. It is something the the real hardware is doing correctly, that the emulator is not doing correctly. If you're experiencing saving issues with the translation, try this: Check https://forum.starmen.net/forum/Games/Mother3FanTranslation/Catchall-Save-Issues-Topic the Online Readme. Specifically, scroll down to the Troubleshooting section and read the first Q&A. It'll probably be useful. You probably need this patch. Especially if you're going to be playing http://topneed.co.uk/ydeo/error-1503.php it on a flash cart. Most -- if not all -- flash carts require a save patch for GBA games to save properly. You need to apply this patch after applying game pak the translation patch; the reason for this is that the translation patch uses the UPS spec, which requires a certain ROM checksum or else it won't work, and that checksum changes after applying the save patch. Use this program to patch it on Windows, or this program, which runs on Java, to patch it on other operating systems. If neither of those work, game pak error and you're using a slot-1 flash cart, try a homebrew tool called GBAExpLoader which will let you run GBA games from your slot-1 card if you have a GBA expansion pack such as the 3-in-1. This method is tedious if you've never dealt with homebrew before because you need to use something called DLDI, although you don't have to worry about that if you have an R4 because it does it automagically. Be sure to read the readme included in the zip file! If you need help with any of these, or if it's still not working and you've tried everything, post here with your setup and explain what's happening.
