American Closed Beta Client and the Chinese Client for Aion by NCsoft well they installed without a hitch but when I go to actually launch the game I get this "gameguard error 170". Well I scowered the net and found only one solution which involved Dloadn a GameGuard Folder from a game that does work on Win7 and deleting the current GGfolder and replacing it with http://thewinwiki.org/aion-gameguard-error-114/ the new GG Folder along with a different GG.des file and running the game in Administrator mode. Well I did all of that and at first I thought it would work as it would start to dload new files and patch not only GG but also Aion but alas I get gameguard error 114. If I try again I get "gameguard error 170". I have emailed Game Guard and have yet to recieve a response. I did get this reply from INCA Game Guards developer, Hello, this is Game Security Center from INCA Internet.Thank you for contacting us.Currently Windows 7 is not an official version, so we are not officially supporting it yet. However, we are currently testing the support of Windows 7 and applying updates that test the supporting. So we will take your game into consideration when scheduling updates, and we ask you to please be patient and wait until the proper update is applied to your game.Thank you.So I did what I should have done which was make my pc dual boot. Which also really exposes Vista for not only being more of a resource hog but also very sluggish in performance. I cant wait till they fix this and 7 releases so I can totally be rid of Vista for ever. In order to eliminate some of the possible variables, you should try the steps outlined below. First, locate your Aion directory. (By default, this installs to C:Program FilesNCsoftAion) In the 'system' gameguard error 114 folder, and open the Bin32 folder and locate the folder titled GameGuard. Delete the GameGuard folder, and re-launch Aion. Let it re-download these files. Game Guard is not updated through the launcher, it updates during the launching of the game so you may not notice any files actually downloading. If this does not resolve the issue and the error messages persist, you should verify that you have all firewall or Internet security software disabled. If you are able to connect with your firewall software disabled, then you will need to add exceptions to your firewall rules for the following files: AION.bin, GameGuard.des, GameMon.des, and NCLauncher.exe, with full access to the Internet. The default locations for each file are as follows:"C:Program FilesNCSoftAionbin32AION.bin""C:Program FilesNCSoftAionbin32GameGuard.des""C:Program FilesNCSoftAionbin32GameGuardGameMon.des""C:Program FilesNCSoftLauncherNCLauncher.exe"If after trying all of these adjustments the issue still occurs please try temporarily uninstalling the security software completely. If this resolves the issue then please contact the software manufacturer for instructions on how to configure it correctly if you wish to reinstall it.Please let us know if the
