I was trying out a Flex-Spring-Hibernate-Java project, which would fetch the records from database and show it in a grid. But, when I try to open my application, I get the following error : ?[RPC Fault faultString="Send failed" faultCode="Client.Error.MessageSend" faultDetail="Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Status 404: url: 'http://localhost:8080/demo/spring/messagebroker/amf'"] What this error is regarding ? PS : I saw the other related error links similar to this error, but that didn't help me out. Other Project related details :- ContextWebRoot : Statistics ( name of my project ) java flex actionscript flex3 amf share|improve this question asked Jun 12 '13 at 12:14 sgokhales 28k1986119 IT looks like a 'standard' 404 error; which in web terms means "page not found". Does the URL localhost:8080/demo/spring/messagebroker/amf load in your browser? Or not; then the issue is a server configuration issue. –JeffryHouser Jun 12 '13 at 12:24 Thanks for your reply. I was trying the project sample from here .. webdbtips.com/68807 .. Nope, that url leads to 404 on my web browser. I named the combined Flex-Java project using BlazeDS as "Statistics" –sgokhales Jun 12 '13 at 12:30 Which configuration am I missing or missed out ? –sgokhales Jun 12 '13 at 12:30 1 if the url is 404'ing in your browser, then flash won't be able to get it either :) - are you running a local server, like WAMP

When I ran the Flex app from Flash Builder 4 beta 2 on Tomcat, everything was fine, the Flex app was able to make the remote call needed. But my production environment is on JBoss, and when I moved the app to JBoss (with services-config.xml updated to fit JBoss), the Flex app keeps complaining Client.Error.MessageSend upon remote calls. At first, when I manually deployed the app to JBoss, the faultDetail was "Channel.Security.Error error Error #2048 ... "; later I tried to run the app from Flash Builder, and then faultDetail became "Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.BadVersion". I have compiled in my services-config.xml with the correct endpoint uri. I have clean ur's working. I have tried it both on my localhost and on a remote site. I am logged into the site as user 1. I can see the "amfphp and this gateway are installed correctly..." message at localhost/services/amfphp. I can do a node.load at services/browse/node.load. It all works fine in FireFox 2.0.0.13 (with Flash 9.0 r115), but I can't get past this error with IE 7 and Flash FlDbg9f.ocx Thanks for any tips. I updated to the latest version of flash (9.0 r124) and things seem to be working now, but it is also possible I just needed to have a user login in IE. Anyway, moving on...
