I have been using the computer without error for about a month however just the other day I turned the machine on agp error and it froze at the Gigabyte Boot Screen with an 99 code showing on the motherboards code display. I restarted the machine and it worked fine no error then about a week and a half later the same thing, it http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/faq-page.aspx?fid=816 froze then restart fixed it. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this problem? I am not overclocking at all it is just the default settings. The only thing that I know might have changed is that I had to do 3 Mobo driver updates in order to get Internet, USB 3.0 and The Intel INF installation to fix the SM Bus Controller Driver missing message. The Manual says code 99 means "Super IO initialization." Not a http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1952985/gigabyte-mobo-error-board-randomly.html clue what that means... My new specs are as follows:GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 (Rev 1.0)i7-6700k2x8gb G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4 3000 R9 Fury XCoolmaster 750 watt power supplyRaid ControllerInternal Wifi cardWhen I turn on the computer the motherboard starts booting and everything turns on and gets power http://www.overclock.net/t/1409329/gigabyte-z87-ud3h-wont-boot-error-code-15 but then I get an error code 55 on the mobo and it shuts off and restarts a few seconds later. Error 55 is a Memory Initialization Error so i tried re-arranging the RAM in every combination and even tried without but gigabyte motherboard got the error every time. I also re-seated the cpu and made sure none of the pins were bent. I am thinking it is not a memory issue but rather a motherboard issue. Any thoughts/ideas on how to fix it? Logged dmdilks 2751 29 "If it isn't broke don't fix it" Re: GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 Error Code 55 Memory Initialization Error « Reply #1 on: December 01, 2015, 01:42:48 am » The memory controller is in the CPU. So have you check the 5 long beeps CPU socket to make sure you don't have any bent pins. Because by what you saying it doesn't matter if you have the memory in or none, you get the same code. Have you tried one stick at a time? I also tried only a single stick and that also gave the same result.
