Arcgis Server Manager Cannot Connect
reply on Jan 23, 2011 by kiichi Like • Show 0 Likes0 Comment • 2I've installed ArcGIS Server 10 on an internal server with Windows Server 2003 arcgis server manager unauthorized access R2 with Service Pack 2. I also have IIS installed. Everything works perfectly, I can login to the ArcGIS Server Manager and create a new service and view it in ArcMap from my local PC. I can even create a new service from ArcCatalog on my local PC. I can access the Server Manager from arcgis server manager login problem Internet Explorer on my local PC. Like I said, everything works perfectly except when I crea a Web Application. I followed the instructions exactly yet when the page trys to open in IE I get a HTTP Error 404 page not found error. I've looked and tweaked everything I know yet I still can't bring the page up and I'm not sure where the problem lies. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I'm going to have to replicate this setup on our web server. I experienced a strange thing with my internet server. Last night (15.4), everything worked fine. Then this morning, none of my webadf based clients work, I can not get contact with my wms capabilities files (from internet) and on the server, the manager and the servicies directories wont show. All I get is Error 404! I tried to restart the server, the ArgGISSOM, my IIS, nothing worked (I have an arcGISserver10 installation with servicepack1). I could see arcgisserver was running, I could access it through ArcGISdesktop on the local server. Then I tried the commando suggested her and VOILA! The clients worked again! Thank you so much! I set up the proxy as described in ESRI site. This machine is XP. I have Geoprocessing service running on another machine (TestServer). When the length of GP request exceeds the limit, the application tries to use proxy and that is when I see the error above. This machine is Win 2008.
