The Group Policy Client Service Failed The Logon Windows Vista
#21 Daniel Wheeler 2 posts Posted 21 October 2015 - 02:28 PM We're having the same issue, but it's only a handful of users and none of them are in more than 50 or 60 groups. What is the KB you applied? The one you listed ( KB301478-v3 ) doesn't exist. Yesterday, we installed the KB301478-v3 at our XenApp Servers. After big problems at Monday and Tuesday morning, that many users could not logon due to the errors "The group Policy Client service failed the logon. access denied." or "The task you are trying to do can-t be completed because Remote Desktop Services is currently busy. Please try again in a few minutes. Other users should still be able to log on." we have none of these problems til now. I will see what happens the next days and weeks... 1359-308628-1901107 Back to top Report abuse Page 2 of 2 1 2 Back to XenApp 6.0 for

Users will just one day not be able to log in to their computer and get that error message. Support staff are able http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?t=1246835 to log on to the computers using RDP with their admin accounts. In some cases, we run a gpupdate /force and reboot the PC and that will resolve the issue. That has not always resolved the problem though. Sometimes just rebooting the PC has solved the issue. The only thing that has consistently resolved the issue so far is updating the NIC driver to the newest available from Intel and rebooting the system. The number of systems this has been done on so far is only 3 or 4, so I can't say with any certainty that this is a foolproof fix.I haven't been able to find anything conclusive in the event logs on the systems yet, but I am still reviewing them. The systems all do seem to have these events logged within a day or two of the issue occurring: 1090, 10016, 7032, and 7031. I'm not sure if that is another symptom of the root issue or unrelated. The systems are all on the same domain, and all use roaming profiles. The only thing I found so far searching Google was this: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/For ... progeneralBut the registry issue described in one of the posts there does not se
Windows 7 Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now I work for part time for a school and a couple of the students are unable to logon. They receive the message "Group Policy https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/271718-group-policy-client-service-failed-the-logon-access-is-denied Client Service Failed the Logon: Access is Denied". As far as I can tell, it happens https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/moiqubal/2012/03/04/how-to-fix-the-group-policy-client-service-failed-the-logon-access-denied-error/ on every PC whether they have logged in before or not. I'm not sure when it started but they have been students for years. The school has Win 7 and Sever 2008 R2. I believe they are using Roaming Profiles with Folder Redirection. I haven't found anything useful in the logs, but I'm not sure if I was looking in the group policy right place anyway. My thought is maybe a corrupt profile or some kind of permission issue. I've found some solutions online, but they seem geared toward fixing 1 pc rather than a Domain environment Anyone run into this before? I would like to fix it and try to keep it from happening again. Any Citrix in your network? 0 Datil OP Rambling Biped Nov 2, 2012 at 1:38 UTC Are all of the clients on the same campus as the domain controller? Have you tested logging in with the problematic credentials yourself at different clients on different segments of your network? How long have they been having problems logging in? Have you checked the logs on the Domain Controller? I would check with whomever is responsible for managing AD/Group Policy and see if they rolled out any new policies that might be causing the issue. 0 Thai Pepper OP Ccraddock Nov 2, 2012 at 2:25 UTC Brand Representative for KPM Technology They may not be members of the proper groups, In your Gp settings it defines that members of certain groups are allowed to log on i don't know about your organization but at mine we have to add the user to a group the Domain users is not enough. Iqubal - MSFTMarch 4, 201280 0 0 0 I stumbled into this error while logging on to one of my machines with my domain account. I searched at "bing" and "google" for help but unfortunately did not find any so after several trial and error, I managed to fix this issue. I am posting it so if any of you run into it, you could give the following a try and if you are lucky hopefully this will work for you. 1. Logon to the machine with a machine administrator account (assuming this issue is with a domain account, if not logon to the machineusing another account with administrative privilege). 2. Move the machine to a workgroup from domain. (If it was part of one workgroup then change it to another one or join a domain.)You could do this through Control Panel\System and Security\System and then ChangeSettings. 3. Restart the machine and logon with a machine administrator account. 4. Delete your user profile data(or move it a different location) completelyfrom c:\users. "C" in my case is system directory but if you have a different one then use that one. 5. Join the machine back to domain account (or to workgroup that the machine was originally joined to), and restart the machine. 6. Logon with your domain account that you were having trouble with. Keep fingers crossed. If all goes well, you should be logged on. Since this error may happen under different conditions sothe abovemay not be a solution for all but if it helps even a single soul, I would consider my time writing this blog worth spent.
