It sounds like some DNS name resolution issues are taking place. Make sure your DNS is set up properly, accepts dynamic updates, and has the appropriate SRV records. After enabling dynamic updates, do the following at the command prompt: ipconfig /registerdns Also make sure the server is a client of it's own DNS service, and any internet DNS servers are enabled as forwarders. I assume you have a domain and perhaps a tree of domains. Check for proper permissions. Another thing is FSMO roles.. find out where they all are and make sure none are missing. If so, force take the roles and designate them to new servers. Hope this helps..
