Disable User Access Control (UAC) feature on Windows 7 clients;2. In Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Group Policy, enable "Startup policy processing wait time" option with the value of 30 seconds. Solved GroupPicy Issue Posted on 2014-05-13 Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Windows 7 1 Verified Solution 4 Comments 1,694 Views Last Modified: 2014-05-28 Hi, I have issue where our students use wireless in one of their labs and for some reason or another sometimes they are able to get all group policy of the their drives and other times they do not. The following are the events that I am receiving: Event ID 1112 Source Group Policy The Group Policy Client Side Extension Folder Redirection was unable to apply one or more settings because the changes must be processed before system startup or user logon. The system will wait for Group Policy processing to finish completely before the next startup or logon for this user, and this may result 1112 group policy in slow startup and boot performance. event ID 1129 source GroupPolicy The processing of Group Policy failed because of lack of network connectivity to a domain controller. This may be a transient condition. A success message would be generated once the machine gets connected to the domain controller and Group Policy has succesfully processed. If you do not see a success message for several hours, then contact your administrator. If I do a gpupdate /force then it tells me that folder redirection occurs at login and asks to restart the computer. after that it seems to work for the student, but that is not a resolution for the teacher as it slows down the class. How can ensure that all of the GPOs will be applied and not just some of them 0 Question by:thomasm1948 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 3 Active 5 days ago Best Solution byWinsoup I used to have that issue too. Something I did on Server 2003 and it seemed to work ok. I am having a bit of a "hit and miss" affair with Server 2008 R2. The re-direction works ok, but I have to log the user off then on again before I get the correct desktop shortcuts and start menu. I'm sure this is down to the way the policy is running...here is the error from the event log:- "The Group Policy Client Side Extension Folder Redirection was unable to apply one or more settings because the changes must be processed before system startup or user logon. The system will wait for Group Policy processing to finish completely before the next startup or logon for this user, and this may result in slow startup and boot performance." Once I log the user off and back on again I get the following two errors in the event log:- First: "Windows failed to apply the Folder Redirection settings. Folder Redirection settings might have its own log file. Please click on the "More information" link." Second: "The Group Policy settings for the user were processed successfully. New settings from 2 Group Policy objects were detected and applied." Each time I also get a pop up saying "You have been logged on with a temporary profile" (see screen shot) and a number of Temp profiles are created in users. BUT - the desk top is now ok, so is the start menu, both of which are on the server. Ref to the fault is found here, but no fix. Event ID 1112 ? Application of Group Policy Anyone out there seen and fixed this fault????
